Below please find some of the steps Run for Fun is taking at this time as of (3/14/20)
For After School Programs we have canceled all After School Programs until April 13th at which time we will connect with elementary school administration to reassess if offering after school programs can be reinstated in the Spring.
Upon returning we will continue to take a series of precautions which includes:
– Wiping down pieces of equipment after each daily class with disinfectant
– Requiring all kids to wash hands with soap and water at the beginning of class and encouraging washing of hands at the end of class
– Availability of hand disinfectant
– Asking Campers to keep hands away from their face
– Turning away any campers who exhibit signs of sickness.
Coach Nikki will be in touch with each individual school in regards to how refunds will work for the remainder of the Winter Session. If you have questions please feel free to e-mail Nikki@runforfuncamps.com
For Summer Camp we are taking preemptive measures to ensure best practices moving forward, until further information comes prior to Summer Camp sessions beginning. As of March 14th, we are capping ALL Summer Camp sessions at 86 children from here until we find out we can take more. This is to account for 16 staff, keeping our counselor to camper ratio at 1:6 and our total group number at 100 participants. We will update the website on how many spaces are available as the sessions get close to filling, and WE WILL HAVE A WAITLIST FOR EACH SESSION when they fill up. Then, if things clear and we get the “Go-Ahead”, we will take folks off the waitlist. We have changed/extended our refund policies for each type of Summer Camp, both Adventure Day Camp & separately for Overnight Camp High Five. Be sure to check that out at the bottom of those pages, as we have given more time for families to see what happens with this situation. At this time we will wait patiently to see what is possible for the summer season but if we are able to we will still lead our camps.
We are considering offering camps Monday – Friday of Spring Break week and will provide more information early next week as to if this seems possible.
We are committed to providing regular updates about our plans, policies, and any changes to our Summer Camp and After School program procedures as more updates, mandates & knowledge become available regarding the COVID-19 virus. Check back soon or reach out to us!
All the best to you and yours!
