Run for Fun After School Camps
Run for Fun is an outdoor after school camp that focuses on play through games, sports and crafts. Kids will have a much needed opportunity to play outdoors in age appropriate groups. Campers are placed in a sports & games cohort. Run for Fun welcomes children of all ages and athletic abilities and emphasizes good sportsmanship and positivity. Our staff is compassionate, spirited and values making personal connections with the kids. Our Winter/Spring Camp is open to grades K-8th.
Within each Cohort we will have a maximum of 16 campers (this number may change throughout the session based on state and county mandates). Private cohorts can be requested but must have at least 8 campers to each group, and commit to 9 weeks of programming (March 15th – May 21st – NO CLASSES 3/22 or week of 4/5-4/9). These cohorts can be at Peers Park, if space allows, or you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a private cohort at the location of your choosing. Private Pods booked with higher numbers will have a higher chance of finding a coach pairing
Camps are held Monday – Friday at Peers Park in Palo Alto located just off of Stanford Avenue for 90min to 2hours per day throughout the 2020-2021 school year. Our upcoming session is scheduled for March 15h – May 21st. In the case of light rain, classes are held outside, and kids should dress in warm clothes. In the event of heavy rain or field closure due to heavy rain in the prior 24hrs Run for Fun will cancel camp and notify parents via e-mail. On days filled where the AQI is above 149 on Air Now 1 hour before class is set to begin we will also cancel. Parents will be refunded for rainout/smoke days.
Run for Fun will follow guidances laid out by the Santa Clara County Public Health Department mandatory directives for programs serving children or youth published on 7/13/20 and last updated 12/3/2020. All campers will remain in consistent cohorts during their time at Run for Fun Fall Camps. The county directive encourages the use of face coverings for kids age 5-11, we will require face coverings to participate in our programs. Face coverings will be worn at all times other then water breaks or in the event a child needs time with out the face covering away from the group. Children can not attend other childcare or after school programs while attending the Run for Fun Winter/Spring Camps. Children may attend school + one after school program This is for the safety of all of our campers and staff and is part of the Mandatory Directive Santa Clara County Public Health Mandate.
