Camp Overview 2021

About our Camps

Whether we are playing a spirited game of dodgeball or sitting around a campfire singing and roasting marshmallows, our staff will make sure your children are engaged and having the time of their lives. We pride ourselves on hiring an enthusiastic, highly trained staff who love what they do. Run for Fun Camps offers a variety of experiences during the summer and school year. Summer 2021 “On-Campus” Day Camps feature three sessions that span 2- to 3-weeks in length in stable group settings. Additionally, our traditional Adventure Day Camp schedule for 2021 is available for viewing and registration will open this Spring IF camps with field trips become a possibility. Run for Fun Overnight Camp Pinecrest will be held July 11th-16th, with safety precautions in place to follow local County and CDC guidelines at the time of camp.

Run for Fun has spent the Fall semester leading Afterschool Programs for Youth, which has given us a strong understanding of best-, and realistic-practices that can be applied to working with our Campers during COVID-19. In Summer ’21, we will continue to follow guidelines laid out by Santa Clara County. With this in mind, we have created two Day Camp options (On-Campus versus Adventure) that we are able to pivot off, and adjust based on the state of the pandemic and guidelines set forth by the County and/or CDC.

Run for Fun “On-Campus” Day Camp- This is a fully “on-campus” experience that will be engaging and will surely keep your kids moving, laughing and having a great time! The weeks feature sports, games, crafts and theme days within stable groups (group sizes dependent on County guidelines). Camp operates from 8:30am to 2:45pm, with Morning-Care at 8:00am; Extended-Care available until 5:30pm. Ages 5-12.

Adventure Day Camp- A new discovery every day filled with sports, games, crafts and nature. For Summer ’21 sign-up will open in Spring ’21 ONLY IF Adventures via professional bus companies are allowed by CDC and County guidelines. Adventures would include explorations to Capitola Beach (dependent on County Directives, being our most public adventure), kayaking and pedal boating at Shoreline Lake, archery and climbing tower at a local YMCA Camp, and visits to Foothills and Huddart Park. Camp runs from 8:30am to 2:45pm, with Morning-Care at 8:00am; Extended-Care available until 5:30pm. Ages 5-12. Registration for Adventure Day Camp is not currently open. Check back in Spring ’21!

If you sign up for On-Campus Day Camp and at a later time registration opens for Adventure Day Camp, you will receive an e-mail giving you first priority to switch into the Adventure Day Camp weeks. On Campus Day Camp will be hosted by Run for Fun Camps even if Adventure Day Camp is being held.

Run for Fun Overnight Camps- Six days and five nights of traditional residential camping mixed with challenge-by-choice activities, campfires, crafts, friendships and lots of laughter. Ages 7-13.

Leadership Programs- Our Leadership Program’s teach your children to work with youth, be a part of a team, challenge themselves mentally and enjoy all of the awesome camp activities. If entering 7th grade, your child would apply for the Leader-in-Training program. If entering 8th grade, your child would apply for the Counselor-in-Training program. Holiday Break Camps- A local adventure when school is out of session, filled with games, sports and crafts. Most Holiday Camps run from a local Elementary School, while some feature Adventures into the community. Grades K-8.
