Camp Overview 2022

About our Camps

Whether we are playing a spirited game of dodgeball or sitting around a campfire singing and roasting marshmallows, our staff will make sure your children are engaged and having the time of their lives. We pride ourselves on hiring an enthusiastic, highly-trained staff who love what they do. Run for Fun Camps offers a variety of experiences during the Summer. This Summer features 4 weeks of Adventure Day Camp AND Run for Fun Day Camp. Both programs are held at the same location and parents may choose the “Adventure” track or fully “On-Campus” track. Campers from both groups will play together during on-campus days. These camps will be led June 6th – July 1st. Run for Fun Overnight Camp Pinecrest will be held July 2nd-July 8th and July 9th-15th; OR join us for two straight weeks of overnight fun July 2nd – 15th. Safety precautions will be in place to follow local County and CDC guidelines at the time of camp.

Run for Fun has successfully operated camps during Summer 2021, giving us strong idea of how to provide engaging activities in a safe environment. We will continue to follow State, County and CDC Guidelines in Summer ’22.

Run for Fun Summer Day Camp- This is a fully “on-campus” and 100% outside experience that will be engaging and will surely keep your kids moving, laughing and having a great time! The two week sessions feature sports, games, crafts and theme days.These sessions allow for your campers to settle into a group throughout their time at Run for Fun. We are tentatively scheduled to host camp at Barron Park Elementary School, location to be finalized by PAUSD this Spring. Camp operates from 8:30am to 2:45pm, with Morning-Care at 8:00am; Extended-Care available until 5:30pm. Ages 5-12.

Adventure Day Camp- A new discovery every day filled with sports, games, crafts and nature. Adventures will include explorations to Capitola Beach, A day of play and nature in the redwoods at YMCA Jones Gulch (w/ optional campout), Great America and visits to Foothills and Huddart Park. We are tentatively scheduled to host camp at Barron Park Elementary School, location to be finalized by PAUSD this Spring. Camp runs from 8:30am to 2:45pm, with Morning-Care at 8:00am; Extended-Care available until 5:30pm. Ages 5-12.

Run for Fun Overnight Camps- Seven days and six nights of traditional residential camp mixed with challenge-by-choice activities, campfires, crafts, friendships and lots of laughter. Ages 7-13.

Leadership Programs- Our Leadership Program’s teach your children to work with youth, be a part of a team, challenge themselves mentally and enjoy all of the awesome camp activities. If entering 7th grade, your child would apply for the Leader-in-Training program. If entering 8th grade, your child would apply for the Counselor-in-Training program. Holiday Break Camps- A day filled with games, sports and crafts. Most Holiday Camps run from a local Elementary School, while some feature Adventures into the community. Grades K-8.

*Please note all On-Campus Day Camp and/or Adventure Day Camp locations will be finalized with School Districts in Spring 2022.
