Become an LIT or CIT at Summer Camp
Counselor’s in Training (CITs) – Entering 9th grade in Fall 2022.
Leader’s in Trainings (LITs) – Entering 8th grade in Fall 2022.
Both CIT’s and LIT’s are important and meaningful members of our camp community. This is a great opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills and teamwork while also having a great summer!
CIT’s will have the opportunity to participate in both Adventure Day Camp/Run for Fun Day Camp and Overnight Camp. At Run for Fun Overnight Camp , CIT’s will have assigned counselors who help guide them through daily activities. CIT’s will participate in team-building activities, work one dishroom shift a day in the dining hall + help set tables, brainstorm and lead activities for campers and help manage the camp store. Additionally, CIT’s will get many opportunities to participate and play at Overnight Camp. At day camp CIT’s will help assist with games and crafts. Priority will be given to CIT applicants who can attend 1 week of Overnight Camp and 2 weeks of Day Camp, as expected of our CIT’s. CIT’s are welcome to add more weeks of camp if they are interested. CIT’s receive 2 weeks of Adventure Day Camp for free.
CIT OPTION : Overnight Pinecrest (July 3rd-July 8th OR July 9th-15th), 2 Adventure Camp Sessions
*Includes Transportation + kayaking + Horseback.
Leaders In Training (LITs)
LIT’s are encouraged to attend 2 to 3 weeks of Adventure Day Camp or On Campus Day Camp ( June 6th-10th, June 13th-17th, June 20th-24th, June 27th-July 1st, ). LIT’s will be mentored by a mentorship counselor at Day Camp for the first 60-90min of each on campus day. For the remainder of each on-campus day LIT’s will assist in leading games and activities. LIT’s are not eligible for Overnight Camp, but may attend as campers.
There is no cost associated with the LIT program. All interested participants must apply!
- All new CIT’s / LIT’s are required to conduct an in-person interview if their application is accepted.
