Run for Fun Summer Day Camp

WHY CHOOSE RUN FOR FUN SUMMER CAMP?

Run for Fun combines kids’ love for sports, nature, creativity and play. We pride ourselves on offering a highly personalized experience. Our Counselors understand the importance of connecting with the Campers on both the individual- and group-levels. Run for Fun Summer Camp provides memorable experiences that are safe and allow kids to grow. In addition to our hand-picked staff, Dave, Andy & Alex have a wealth of camp experiences that they bring to camp every day! Kids are drawn to what we offer because we believe, and are enthused about, the importance of bringing sports, nature and play into kids’ lives.

Run for Fun Day Camp

Summer 2022 Day Camps feature 2 sessions, each two weeks in length covering 4 weeks in total from June 6 through July 1. This is a fully “on-campus” and 100% outdoor experience that will be engaging and will surely keep your kids moving, laughing and having a great time! The weeks feature sports, games, crafts and theme days to fit throughout the 2-week session. Camp runs from 8:30am to 2:45pm, with Morning- Care at 8:00am; Extended-Care available until 5:30pm. Ages 5-12.

Group Structuring during Day Camp

Campers will be placed in groups by age/grade. These separate groups partake in rotational games throughout the mornings to gain a good level of relationship with their counselors and group-mates. Then, after the morning rotations, campers are given choices of games/sports/activities to choose from with friends spanning multiple grade-groups (K-3rd, 4th&up).

Safety Precautions for Day Camp

All Campers will wear face coverings unless PAUSD regulations allow for vaccinated participants to be mask-less outdoors. We will also follow the County regulations as stated at the time of Camp in 2022. Campers/Staff hand sanitize before and after all games. Equipment is thoroughly cleaned and each Group has their own ball bag dedicated to their Campers.

Camp Programming

Activities include classic field games, such as capture the flag, gaga ball, dodgeball, soccer, street hockey, scottish handball, knockout, kick the cone and MANY more. Additionally, there are crafts available for kids to have fun with. Crafts includes friendship bracelets, jewelry making, sand art, pipe cleaner animals and tissue paper bouquets. Campers can choose to craft at any time during the day, close to their grouping. All interested Campers will have the opportunity to participate in tie-dye, slime, and/or perler-beading during their sessions. Additionally, the 2 Sessions of camp will feature a themed-week; such as Olympic or Superhero Week. For instance, during the first session campers will have time with their specific age-grouping throughout the two weeks to create and decorate a “chariot” to hold their teams’ rubber chicken to then run throughout a relay race at the end of the session. This is just ONE example of the FUN, teamwork challenges groups will partake in.
